Titanium Dioxide is a naturally occurring, chemical free mineral used to protect against the harmful effects of the sun.
Titanium Dioxide is a physical sunblock, acting as a barrier on the skin which deflects the sun's UV rays away from the skin as opposed to chemically produced sunscreen agents that decompose the suns harmful rays while on the skin.
Medical professionals recommend physical sunscreens be used on sensitive skin and young babies and children as they mimic the protection of cloth, blocking the the suns harmful rays from reaching the skin.
