Feeding the baby outdoor

If you need to prepare formula to feed your little one away from home, you'll need to take with you: a measured amount of formula powder in a small, sterile, dry container. a vacuum flask of hot water that's just been boiled. an empty sterilised feeding bottle with cap and retaining ring in place.

When traveling with a newborn and feeding them formula, there are a few things you can keep in mind to ensure a smooth experience:

  1. Pack enough formula

  2. Before leaving home, clean your baby's bottles, nipples, and any other feeding equipment you'll need.

  3. Carry clean water: If you're unsure about the availability or safety of the water at your destination, it's recommended to bring pre-boiled water in a thermos or insulated bottle. Alternatively, you can use bottled water specifically labeled safe for infant consumption.

  4. Prepare individual portions: If you're going to be on the move, it's helpful to pre-measure the formula powder into individual portions. This will make it easier to prepare a bottle without having to carry the entire container of formula.

  5. Use pre-prepared formula: Many brands offer ready-to-feed or pre-mixed formula options that come in convenient single-use bottles. These can be very useful while traveling, as they eliminate the need for measuring and mixing.

  6. Pack a bottle warmer or thermos: If you prefer to use powdered formula or need to warm pre-mixed formula, consider bringing a bottle warmer or a thermos of hot water to warm the bottle when needed.

  7. Wash your hands thoroughly before preparing a bottle, and clean the feeding area and any surfaces that come into contact with the formula.

Remember to consult with your pediatrician before traveling, as they may have additional recommendations specific to your baby's needs.
